Blessed are the pets, for they shall be rewarded for their loyality

Kids get frustrated at school. The math problem doesn't go their way; a strange adverb shows up in a list of adjectives; a planet changes location and throws the whole acronym off. These can make for frustrated kids.

It's a good thing animals have a great sense of smell, a real concern for their owners' well-being and a strong sense of loyality.

Frustrating items of school plauged Chris this morning. It was enough to threatened tears. Our cat, Goldie who had been sleeping peacefully in his kennel in the other room suddenly appeared, sniffing the air. He came to the table, sniffed again, looked at me, and then jumped up on the table, paused while he smelled around him again. He found the source of his sniffing inquiry, looked into the eyes Chris, circled around and plopped down onto the boy's books, and started purring.

Chris couldn't help but smile. The red disappeared from his face, the tears disappeared back inside their tear ducts, and the work suddenly came easier. And the cat still lies there, on the Chris's books, in the middle of the table just as content as he could be.

Blessed are these humble animals who know how to comfort those who are frustrated.
