Mommy by Remote

Since I was not able to post last week while Tony and I were at church outing, I am posting now the thoughts I wrote during that time.

From Wednesday, June 15, 2005
Church outing is located on the campus of a sprawling boarding high school, and Tony's kindergarten classes are located in the band room in the far SE corner of the property. His morning class runs from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.

I spend an hour each morning helping the 7-9 year-old kids in a building on the opposite corner; the NW part of the campus.

Since Tony has to walk that distance (about seven adult minutes) by himself, I have created "Mommy by Remote" with the help of small two-way radios. With these two plam-sized gadgets, my six-year-old son can be independant, yet still have the ability to call "Mom-my!" when he needs to.

Did I say that it also gives me peace of mind as my young son roams this large campus?
