It's Biker Land!

Hey Bikers (especially you, Almond Joy) I'm in your country. Right now, in Rapid City, SD, there are a bunch of leather clad guys talking and gawffawing outside my window. They aren't obnoxious - yet, and hopefully they won't be either.

We left our house at 4:45 this morning and pressed hard to Mount Rushmore. We had a good time playing the license plate game, following our newly acquired GPS map program, belly laughing over misunderstood signs, (so tell me, what do you think when you see a KOA sign that reads, "pass through pool?") and stretching our legs at rest areas. And for the vast majority of the way, two-wheeled hogs were always around us.

We brought a very select selection of DVD's for Tony to watch, and he watched one of them this morning.

We finally made it Mount Rushmore, but to get there we had to travel through Keystone. And that little town looks a lot like this:

But we finally got to see this: (yes I took that picture)

And Tony even got to talk to one of the orginial carvers of the mountain.

So tomorrow, it's off to Montana, and then Southeast Washington before following I-84 to the Oregon Coast.
