Breaking news: 12:34 CDT Hurricane Charley upgraded to Category 4 storm with winds of up to 145 mph
12:24 MSNBC - Charley strengthens to 125 mph
A "scary, scary" Hurricane Charley strengthened Friday to sustained winds of 125 mph, (stronger than the 120 they predicted.) making it a category 3 hurricane, which can cause severe damage. As it pushed toward the southwest coast of Florida, forecaster said they expected it to make landfall late Friday afternoon south of Tampa and just north of Fort Myers.
